The Morgan County Planning Commission was created in accordance with the West Code Chapter 8A-1-1 in order to promote orderly development and to protect and provide for the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Morgan County. The Planning Commission and staff administers six ordinances along with the issuance of residential building permits and commercial building permits .
