The Morgan County Planning Commission was created in accordance with the West Code Chapter 8A-1-1 in order to promote orderly development and to protect and provide for the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Morgan County. The Planning Commission and staff administers six ordinances along with the issuance of residential building permits and commercial building permits.

BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION LINKS BELOW:
The following documentation is needed for building permits: well, septic and highway entrance permits (if applicable), blue prints, floor plans and pictures.
Starting May 2, 2022 there will be a $3 fee added to the cost of the building permit if you would like the Morgan County Planning Commission to mail you your building permit.
